The change from steel toe to composite safety toe lighted the boot and makes it non-metallic (airport friendly).

I bought my first pair of these just three months ago. I remember looking at the price tag and thinking "this much??!" I wear out work boots like you would not believe. great timberland shoes!

Comfortable right out of the box - Most work boots I have owned have had a period where I have had to break them in before they were useful; however, these boots were comfortable right out of the box.
