Well, I never heard of Timberland Boots until I was about 12 when I moved up to Suitland, Maryland, (which is 2 seconds outside of SE Washington DC) and saw everyone wearing them. So I wanted a pair, and finally got them.
Timberland boots are good because if you want some boots that work good in the snow, without somehow the snow getting on the inside, than these will work. They are also durable, becuase I got a pair in 2000 and they're still holding up. And they are water proof unlike the cheap boots, that when you take them off, your socks are wet.
Now you have a choice on material. You can get leather or suede. I have both kinds, and I perfer the suede better. Leather is good, but it can easily get scuffed, and very noticable. If you do get a pair of any material, make sure you get a cleaing kit of somekind, because that comes in handy...belive me. Also they come in different colors. Most of the colors I like. A lot of people like the common yellowish-gold Tims, which is cool. I have a black pair, which I like too. They also come in blue, pink, green, and more.
